This year's research pitch competition is based on our theme of leadership & justice
Work in a team with a graduate student mentor to tackle a real-world healthcare issue trhough the lens of leadership and justice. Develop an abstract and present a research pitch to a live audience. Proposals are evaluate by a panel of judges and healthcare students

Introduced last year, MUHB is our networking banquet made possible through teamwork, creativity, and a shared passion for healthcare. 💙 This year, we’re bringing it back even bigger and better.
MUHB will occur after the events of MUHS Day 1 of the symposium at the Norwood Hotel at 6:00PM!
Dr. Marcia Anderson is Cree-Anishinaabe and grew up in the North End of Winnipeg with roots in Peguis First Nation and Norway House Cree Nation in Manitoba. She practices Internal Medicine, and serves as the Vice-Dean, Indigenous Health, Social Justice and Anti-Racism in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba. In the fall of 2024, Dr. Anderson was appointed the Chair of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's Board of Directors. Dr. Anderson has won multiple awards, including the 2022 Doctors Manitoba Physician of the Year award, Community Development Award from the Mahatma Gandhi Centre of Canada and the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration. In 2024, she was invested in the Order of Manitoba.
